COASTSWEEP Cleanup | Nahant Beach

CoastSweep cleanup at Lynn Nahant Beach in Massachusetts!

As part of COASTSWEEP Beach Cleanup, volunteers are encouraged to come to Nahant Beach Reservation to help in the statewide effort to keep our coastline clean along the shore in Lynn and Nahant Massachusetts. Trash collected will be measured and analyzed, and the data will be sent to Washington DC to aid the government in creating legislation to minimize trash in our oceans! This specific cleanup is coordinated by Donna McCarthy.

Annual COASTSWEEP Good Harbor Beach Fall cleanup hosted by Seaside Sustainability in Gloucester Massachusetts

Join Seaside Sustainability for a COASTSWEEP clean up of Good Harbor Beach from 9-11am on Saturday, October 21! What to Bring: Appropriate clothes for being on the coast, hat, sunscreen, water, snack, thin gloves optional, hand sanitizer, and a friend or two! CraneExplorer: Tackling Trash

Come celebrate Earth Day in Ipswich Massachusetts and join the beach cleanup at Crane Beach

As you explore the beach, what do you notice that doesn’t belong? Marine debris impacts beaches and marine life worldwide, so what can we do about it? Join this program to learn about types, sources, and impacts of marine debris, observe microplastics, and learn how scientists and community members (like you!) are studying marine debris and taking action to tackle the issue of trash in our fragile marine environments.

Parker River NWR Beach Cleanup

Come help with coastal debris and other trash at the beaches of Parker River Wildlife Refuge

Come help clean the beach at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge! You can help clean up the beach for nesting shorebirds druing this Spring volunteer event. Meet volunteers from the Friends of Parker River NWR at parking lot 1 before going out on the beach to clean up debris. Friends' volunteers and park rangers will be on available to help with heavy items. They will orient you and hand out trash bags. Friends' volunteers and park rangers will be available to help with heavy items. Come for the day or for an hour. All are welcome. Event will be held rain or shine. No preregistration is required; simply show up!

Hands Across the Sand + Cleanup at Stage Fort Park

Come to Stage Fort PArk in Gloucester for a Community cleanup effort to preserve this wonderful local resource!

Stage Fort Park is one of the most visited spaces in Gloucester, and for good reason. It's beautiful and it provides fields, playground and tables for everyone to enjoy. To protect this incredible resource, we need to do our part. This Hands Across the Sand event and cleanup will bring people together to oppose new offshore drilling and other fossil fuel development and promote a clean energy future! We will gather just before noon for a non-hand holding lineup photo along the shore in solidarity with people around the globe on this day, calling for an end to offshore drilling!
