Parent Education Screening and Discussion of ANGST: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety

Angst is a documentary that looks at anxiety, its causes and effects, and what we can do about it. Angst features candid interviews with kids and young adults who suffer, or have suffered, from anxiety, and what they’ve learned about their experiences. The film also includes discussions with mental health experts about the causes of anxiety and its sociological effects, as well as resources and tools that offer hope.

Following the screening, we will host a discussion group led by Waldorf parent and psychotherapist, Matt Stella; and our own Cyber Civics teacher, Dirk Tiede.

Winter Family Field Trip: Terrific Animal Tracking

Families will learn about identifying animal tracks at Joppa Flats Education Center in Newburyport Massachusetts!
Mammals such as squirrels, rabbits and deer leave many signs that they are active in winter. Learn how to interpret the tracks and signs or clues of active animals in winter. Stay active and warm with a group challenge about hibernation. Conduct an experiment about snow insulation.
