Downtown Salem comes alive with art for the annual Salem Arts Festival with art perfromances livemusic great food and family fun!

The 8th annual Salem Arts Festival will be held June 3-5th.  The popular free event will feature over 80 artists and performers, and includes a variety of art, music, dance, and theatre performances. The family-friendly festival also includes art-making for all ages, artisan vendors selling their creations, and a temporary public art installation.

Boston Book Festival Hubbub for Kids

Join us in Copley Square for the second annual Hubbub: Creative Commotion, brought to you by the Boston Book Festival! Featuring literary headliner Rosemary Wells, theater company The Story Pirates, plus dozens of other free programs for kids and families, including music, dance, visual arts, science & technology, and much more!

Hubbub is a new festival celebrating creativity, inventiveness, and exploration for children ages zero to twelve and their families. Hubbub is presented by the Boston Book Festival, but books are just the beginning of what kids and families will discover.

From the west coast to the east coast and all across America food trucks are all the rave!  Whether it’s great gourmet food, country home cooking, or BBQ, food trucks are making their way into the mainstream of the American eating experience.  A major Centennial celebration that will kick off the Centennial year of events is the Food Truck Festival.  Brooksby Farm has invited food truck vendors from across New England to commence the celebration with great food, entertainment for children and more!

Pumpkin Day at Cogswell's Grant

Pumpkin Day at Cogswell Grant is a wonderful fall afternoon event!

Celebrate the arrival of Fall. Enjoy hay wagon rides through the field in search of the perfect pumpkin, compete in a pumpkin pie-eating contest, do crafts, play games, and try cider pressing! Enjoy hot mulled apple cider and homemade pumpkin pie. The house is open for tours of one of the country's most celebrated collections of American antiques & folk art.

Moraine Farm Festival

Moraine Farm invites you and your family to come explore at their Farm Festival!

Join The Trustees of Reservations, the Waldorf School at Moraine Farm, and Project Adventure, Inc for a fun day of activities for Trails & Sails! The festival offers tours, kid-friendly fun, farm animals, lectures, homemade goodies and storytelling activities sponsored by the six non-profit organizations that own and manage the 170-acre farm. Moraine Farm is permanently protected conservation land along the shores of Wenham Lake that includes meadows, woodlands and formal gardens as well as farmland. The landscape was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted in the 1880s and its woodlands are studded with mature rhododendron stands and azaleas.

The first hour will include a rally highlighting the harms that the proposed natural gas plant in Salem would impose on both the local community and the climate.
