IMADA is offering students an array of Summer programs focusing on the arts. Kids in grades 7-12 are invited to use time over the Summer to explore their artistic abilities be it sculpture, painting, film, music or digital and mixed media. Programs take place at Ipswich High School and other locations beyond the North Shore, so payattention to the specifics for the program you want. The Music Asylum offers an annual Summer Songwriting Session. Learn the art of lyric writing, prosody, chord structures, harmony, song form, rhythm and groove. Students will leave having written at least one song for themselves, will collaborate with other students on song production, and will leave with a great sense of the complexities and joys of creating music.

Support the Essex Youth Commission & bring the kids to the annual Spring Egg Hunt. This year the event will be held at Centennial Grove beginning at 1 pm. There will be three age categories - 0-5; 6-11 and 12+. There is no charge for the event as it is covered by generous candy donations by the people of Essex and the Essex Youth Commission. Join Jim Parks with 5-6 of his amazing birds, including hawks, falcons, and owls. Parks has been licensed to rehabilitate injured raptors (birds of prey) for decades and brings excellent knowledge and respect of their role in the wild. Ages 6 through adult. Registration required.
