Wingmasters demonstrate live birds of prey of various specious in Massachusetts at the Hamilton Wenham Public Library

Join the specialists of Wingmasters for a live birds of prey demonstration at the Hamilton Wenham Public Library. Birds of prey are also known as raptors, and they are hunting birds characterized by hooked beaks and powerful grabbing feet armed with sharp talons (the word raptor comes from a Latin word that means "to seize"). Raptors can also boast the best eyesight and the sharpest hearing in the animal kingdom. Raptors include hawks, falcons and owls, and this presentation, which incorporates 8 live birds of prey gives an overview of these different categories.

Kids will learn about dental health and dentistry at the Hamilton Wenham Public Library!

Come to HW Library to celebrate National Children's Dental Health Month with local dentist, Dr. Priscilla Magnuson of Green Willow Dental. Enjoy stories, songs & activities about teeth and dentists. Eagle Festival: Bald Eagle Behaviors for Teens

Teens are invited to Joppa Flats Education Center in Newburyport Massachusetts to learn about eagles and their behaviors. Photo: Nancy Wilkinson

This youth program will take place at a popular viewing area to see Bald Eagles along the Merrimack River. You'll learn how to spot an eagle in flight, observe their behaviors, and learn how to identify Bald Eagles at their different stages of life. We will use binoculars, field scopes, and bird guides. You'll stay warm as you participate in group games and challenges.

Owl Prowl Hike at Appleton Farms

Learn all about owls at Appleton Farms in Ipswich Massachusetts for kids older than 12

Join us for a very special evening hike to see the owls who might be out and about in the dark winter woods and fields of Appleton Farms. This hike will take place along the trails of Appleton, known to have multiple species of owls. Before our hike, you’ll learn about wintertime nocturnal animals and what to listen for on your journey. Then, we’ll embark on a 45-60 minute hike as we follow some of Appleton Farms’ most beautiful trails to see what we can hear.
