Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. And that's the least of his troubles. Lately, mythological monsters and the gods of Mount Olympus seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. And worse, he's angered a few of them. Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen and Percy is the prime suspect.

Stargazing at Newbury Town Library

Teens are invited to the Newbury Town Library for a Star Party Hosted by the North Shore Amateur Astronomy Club!

The Newbury Town Library will host the [node: 1306] for a Star Gazing Party! They will be giving a short presentation in advance and then attendees may view the stars through large telescopes placed outside. If you have never attended a Star Party, then don't miss out on this. It's incredible how much you can see through a telescope.

Come to Big Ryan's Tall Tales at the Newbury Town Library!

Newbury Town Library invites kids for a special performance - BIG RYAN'S TALL TALES!  Big Ryan delivers his own original stories, a bit of puppet play and some music and movement, and a whole lot of fun! This show is great for PreK-5th grade, but siblings of other ages are of course welcome. The Magic Typewriter at Abbot Library

Kids will meet Paul Korins, authro of 'The Magic Typewriter' at Abbot Library in Marblehead.

Children ages 8-12 are invited to an afterschool program with children's author Paul Korins focused on his most recent book, [amazon:1519110200:inline]. The novel is a time-travel, historical story, during which a 12-year-old boy is transported to the 1930s, experiencing the hard times of the Great Depression. He will be talking with students at the program about the hardships endured by families, and what life was like for children back then.

Creature Feature: Peeper Creatures

The Trustees of Reservations invite you to bring the whole family to Ravenswood Park for an introduction to Vernal Pools featuring live animals and a presentation by the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team. Meet salamanders and frogs that live on the North Shore and get a rare close-up view of these animals.  Learn their natural history and behaviors then journey with a guide into the park for a night-time walk.
