Harold Parker State Forest, which lies in Andover, North Andover, North Reading and Middleton, comprises just over 3,000 acres of Central Hardwood-Hemlock-White Pine type of forest. The forest is twenty miles north of Boston and within one hour's drive of three million people. Recreational opportunities include hiking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, camping and picnicking.
Linebrook Woods Conservation Area is a 78-acre parcel of wooded uplands and wetlands with trails that connect to Willowdale State Forest to the south and the Dow/Bull Brook Reservoir area to the north. Nice wooded trails, mainly single track. There are three short bridges over creek crossings that support equestrian use. The Bay Circuit Trail crosses through this property.
Also known as Witches Woods. Beverly Commons is scenic woodland with trails and provides important habitat for wildlife. There is an extensive trail network on the property.
While most of this reservation protects more than 50 acres of salt marsh, its most popular feature is Whites Hill, a coastal drumlin that offers unobstructed views of Crane Beach, the Crane Wildlife Refuge, and Halibut Point. More info by following the link below.
