Magnolia Woods

Magnolia Woods is a beautiful recreational area built on 25 acres of land. It is home to all of Gloucester’s Soccer programs as it houses seven soccer fields and a small softball field. The park is open to all visitors who can do any of the following activities: bird watch, nature walk, check out the variety of wild flowers growing in the area, and cross country ski in the winter months. Future site imrpvements include additional parking and restroom facilities. This site was previously the location of the Gloucester dump which was cleaned up and capped back in the early 1990's.

Seaside Park

Seaside Park, a portion of which was part of a town-owned farm known as Cow Fort, was laid out as a park in 1895. Its 33.7 acres consists of lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, baseball diamond, summer street hockey, winter sledding, exercise trails and a classic small-town grandstand. Seaside Park is located on Atlantic Avenue across from the Marblehead Police Station.

Lynch Park

This historic park, a former estate, is the principal community park serving both city residents and Essex County region because of its beauty and unique features.  It has an attractive blend of trees, two beaches, ocean views on three sides, concert shell, carriage house with art guild room, concession stand, and formal Italian Rose Garden.  These features make it a popular site for school groups, weddings, family gatherings, camps, a variety of ceremonies and a host of community events. Another very unique feature of this park is it's Concert Shell.

Pilgrim Memorial State Park

Plymouth Rock is the Centerpiece of Pilgrim Memorial State Park

Home of the Plymouth Rock! Nearly one million people a year come from all over the world to visit the town where in 1620 Europeans first made a home in New England and to see Plymouth Rock.  This simple glacial erratic boulder on the shore of Plymouth Harbor has become a world famous symbol of the courage and faith of the men and women who founded the first New England colony.  A landscaped waterfront park provides scenic views of Plymouth Harbor. The Mayflower II, a replica of the ship that brought the first Pilgrims to Massachusetts, is anchored at the park.
