The Herland Brothers bring the country rock music to Castle Hill on the Crane Estate in Ipswich Massachusetts!

UPDATE: This event has been canceled! Don your cowboy boots and grab your favorite dance partner for a fabulous night in the Castle Hill barn. Acclaimed country rock band the Herland Brothers will bring the tunes that will keep you on your feet. They've wowed audiences across New England with their high energy concerts featuring country favorites and their own rockin' country music. A cash beer bar with True North Ale will be available.

A Cinderella Panto - Matinee

Come enjoy a Cinderella Panto performed by Theater in the Open at the Firehouse Center for the Arts!

Edward Speck and Joshua Shack bring back a favorite TITO Holiday Panto. We’ve updated our version of this classic fairy tale, added a holiday spin, plenty of adorable mice and even a few playful clowns to lead audiences on an enchanted adventure. It’s everything that you loved the first time you saw Cinderella, with some new surprises, just for fun!

Herrmanns' Royal Lipizzan Stallions come to Cogswell's Grant in Essex massachusetts

Historic New England welcomes family favorite Herrmann's Royal Lipizzan Stallions for a special engagement at Cogswell's Grant . The famous Lipizzan stallions are returning to perform three shows at Cogswell's Grant. The horses of the Herrmann line are among the last capable of executing the "Airs Above the Ground" maneuvers, the dramatic leaps and plunges developed as aggressive battle maneuvers in the sixteenth century, and now a beautiful display of equine grace and strength.

Theater in the Open presents a Jack in the Beanstalk Panto at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport Massachusetts

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it’s time one again for our Spring Pantomime! This time around we’ll be following the (mis)adventures of Jack and friends as they take the path much less traveled by, and learn some valuable lessons along the way…!!! Edward Speck and Josh Shack have planned another silly, playful Spring Panto that's full of surprises. Follow the Theater in the Open flags from the Maudslay parking lot. Allow ten minutes to stroll to the site and $5 for parking ($6 for out of state vehicles).

The didgeridoo, usually a hollow tree trunk, has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1,500 years, and is known for its otherworldly sound. But DDU is much more than music. Take a night hike with your family and enjoy the wonder of the Perseid Meteor Shower at Castle Hill with the Trustees! This is a late-night stargazing adventure for the whole family! The Perseids meteor shower is one of the main celestial events of the summer, with peak meteor viewing at up to 60 per hour! Join us for a hike along the Beach – and bring a blanket so you can stretch out on the sand for optimal viewing. We’ll keep our energy up with s’mores and lemonade around a bonfire. Pre-registration is required.
