Celebrate the Holidays on Thanksgiving weekend with the Cape Ann Symphony conducted by Yoichi Udagawa. The annual Holiday Pops is a musical celebration of the season. The Cape Ann Symphony Chorus now under the direction of Brittany Betts will join the orchestra for a Holiday Pops series for the whole family. The ever popular audience sing-along concludes the performance.
Rowley Volunteer Fire Protection Association Hosts 1st Annual Rowley Veterans Day 5K and Kids 1 Mile Fun Run. The Rowley Volunteer Fire Protection would like to sponsor this event to help raise money for our Rowley Veterans Committee as well as start raising money for next year's Memorial Day Parade. We hope to get as many participants as possible. If you would like to donate, please follow the link for donations. Gloucester's Fishtown Parade of of Trees is a community holiday fundraiser for the annual Fishtown Horribles Parade in July! Take a stroll the the Parade of Trees and find your favorites! All trees are donated and decorated by community members, businesses and organizations.
A Newburyport tradition! As the holiday season approaches, Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive in the most fitting way for this seaport town... by US Coast Guard boat! Welcome Santa on the Sunday after Thanksgiving as he and Mrs. Claus dock at the boardwalk and begin to parade through downtown Newburyport, then gather in Market Square for the annual Christmas tree lighting and carols starting around 4pm.
Gloucester's Holiday Parade is a great tradition to kick off the holidays! Come enjoy the parade, Santa, and the tree lighting at Kent Circle! Volunteers will line up parade participants at the State Fish Pier on Parker Street at 2:00 PM and will guide them through downtown Gloucester and on to Kent Circle for the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Cool weather Fall running is back! This year the Winner's Circle Running Club has moved our annual 5K to Salisbury! It will be run Thanksgiving morning November 23rd. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. and the race starts promptly at 8:30. We feature runner and family friendly trails and post race refreshments. Our new course which is primarily on a rail trail offers a fast and flat but scenic course! Pre-register to lock in the lowest rates! Race day registration will be available at $35.
Join the fun for the annual Wild Turkey 5 Mile Run in downtown Salem Massachusetts Thanksgiving morning and raise funds for the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem! This is the largest race on the North Shore, now in its 21st year, with 2,000 anticipated participants. The first 1600 entries will receive long sleeve shirts. We give out awards in 5-year age groups. The pre and post-race meeting place will be in the Peabody Essex Museum Atrium. The race benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem.
Green Beverly is excited to host our Beverly Pumpkin Smash! Bring your pumpkins to New Entry at Moraine Farm, and participate in our composting event! Enjoy the beautiful farm scenery while you launch your pumpkins from a trebuchet into a giant compost pile! We also offer classic lawn games and products from local businesses. In 2022 we diverted 40+ tons of CO2 and 30,000 pounds of organic waste from landfills. Come join the fun with and expected crowd of 2000 or more for another 'smashing' event!
