Join a refuge ranger for a guided walk in the winter landscape at Parker River. We will discuss various adaptation strategies birds and animals use when winter's chill comes calling. Learn how you might adapt to and even enjoy winter! If snow is present, we will look for tracks in the snow.

His Dream Our Mission:    In commemoration of MLK, Jr.’s birthday, YWCA Greater Newburyport presents a screening of “King in the Wilderness.”  This film tells the story of Martin Luther King Jr.’s final years through the personal stories of those who surround him.

Parker River National Wildlife Refuge invites teens to join refuge staff and members of West Newbury Wild & Native for a workshop on the importance of collecting and sowing native seeds. Learn about local native plants and seed collecting, then rotate through stations to create 3-4 pots of different seed mixes to take home!
