The 7 Mile race is part of the 2018 New England Running Company Trail Race. Proceeds support Greenbelt’s land conservation work throughout Essex County.  Go to the Greenwood Ave Trailhead on Race Day.

Sawyer Free Library in Gloucester is hosting the Red Cross Blood Mobile! There is a always a huge need for blood, and many people need blood today! Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood, and thousands of doantions are needed every day. Your donation is needed right now. Sponsored by Jalapeños Restaurant, Gloucester Firefighters, Sawyer Free Library, and Addison Gilbert Hospital (a member of Lahey Health). This race offers both a 5K  and a 10K race. The 10K distance is part of the 2018 New England Running Company Trail Series. The race course winds through the beautiful wooded hills behind the Pingree School. Lahey Health hosts the Fourth Annual Teddy Bear Clinic and Ice Cream Social As part of the Danvers Family Festival.  Bring your favorite stuffies to a Teddy Bear Clinic at Lahey Outpatient Center, Danvers. The bears and other stuffed animals will explore health care experiences, providing children an opportunity to play doctor and learn about healthy habits from clinicians at Lahey Outpatient Center, Danvers. Does your child’s teddy bear or favorite snuggly toy need a check-up? No teddy bear? Don’t worry! The first 100 “doctors” will get a brand new teddy bear for participating.
