When it snows, we love to slip and slide the afternoon away. It's so much fun and super easy to find a big bump in the landscape around here. Local parks, golf courses, schoolyards, libraries, the backs and sides of city buildings, even your own yard have potential to be a slope for sleds. Watch for obstructions or hazards on the course before heading down the hill.
The hills at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester are among my favorite sledding hills. There are lots of different inclines and altitudes and plenty of space for lots of families to slide without hazards. The park also has a huge parking lot.
