Appleton Farms Milk Operation is Now Open!

Appleton Farms' grass fed dairy herd produces the finest milk available locally.

You just can't beat a cold bottle of milk from the local farm! Appleton Farms opened their retail shop at the farm designed to sell milk and other dairy products from their grass fed Jersey Cows! This is a big step for Appleton Farms and is a huge opportunity for North Shore families who are looking for locally produced food.

The new shop is located in the large barn closest to the Route 1A entrance to the farm in Ipswich and is open Monday through Friday 2-6 pm. You do not have access to view this node will also be selling Appleton Farms' milk at their location as well.

Award winning master cheese maker, and tenth generation dairy farmer John Miller is overseein the operations. “In addition to the milk, we’ll be making a wide variety of fresh and aged cheeses, butter, and other Jersey-milk products” said Miller.  “Jerseys are an ideal breed for this sort of operation. They produce milk of superior flavor and that contains higher levels of important nutrients, like protein and calcium. We are excited to share these high quality products with the North Shore community and beyond."

Milk is bottled and pasteurized at Puleo's Dairy in Salem. Puleo's was selected as a partner for its use of glass bottles and it's pasteurization processing that has been fine-tuned to minimize damage to the milk product.

So come try the new milk and see what all the hubbub is about. Once you taste the freshness and quality, it will be hard to go back to 'store bought'!
