Heidi Dallin's Youth Acting Workshops at the Gloucester Stage Company are a fantastic introduction to theatre basics. Ms. Dallin's workshops are designed to provide young people who possess a variety of abilities and levels of interest, an outlet to develop self-confidence, communication and teamwork skills.
Students are introduced to the skills necessary for professional theatre through theatre basics including improvisation, character preparation, vocal & physical expression, theatre games, storytelling, writing and public speaking.
Registration is open for the Winter 2011 Session which begins on Saturday, February 5. The workshop meets every Saturday for six weeks, 2 hours per session, with students divided into age groups. Class size is limited and registration is on a first come basis.
Ninety-five students aged 6-18 from eleven different New England communities took part in Heidi Dallin's 2010 Youth Acting Workshops. Students were given opportunities to work with Gloucester Stage artists including professional playwrights, actors and directors.
