Farmer’s Helper Ages 6-11 Gives students an opportunity to see where their food really comes from and to participate in getting it table-ready. They will care for the animals (feeding, watering, carrying hay and other supplies), plant and tend a raised bed with their group, and sometimes join the farm crew in the fields for weeding and harvesting. They will be encouraged to keep a journal of their experiences. The kids will meet in the greenhouse when it is too rainy to stay outside. Bug spray may be needed. Cost $60 per session.
