Create a family treasure by making your own Russian nested doll, matryoshka, with Russian artist and storyteller, Marina Forbes. While decorating the dolls, families can listen to the folk music from Russia and try the “matryoshka dance”. Adults, teens and children six and up are invited to this workshop on traditional Russian arts and crafts.
There is a materials fee for anyone participating in the hands-on component of the program. This fee covers the cost of the paints, brushes, and the wooden dolls, imported from Russian. Parents are encouraged to attend with the children to form family teams to work on three, five and seven pieces matryoshka dolls. This hands on workshop has painting fun for the whole family.
