Under the direction of Music Director Dr. Minji Kim, the Newburyport Choral Society welcomes you to experience a selection will perform a selection of delightful holiday music from various cultures and countries around the world. The choral program includes a Spanish lullaby, a Moroccan Chanukah composition, an African Kwanzaa song of celebration, a Filipino Christmas carol, and the well-known Ceremony of Carols by Benjamin Britten.
The program will also feature a selection of songs performed by the Greater Newburyport Children’s Chorus, as well as a small chamber orchestra ensemble (including harp), local student readings, and even some audience participation.
We hope you will celebrate the start the holiday season with us, and join with us as we honor the music of so many different and unique cultures around the globe.
