The Magnolia Road Show is a sale, auction and appraisal service hosted by the Magnolia Historical Society that is intended to raise funds for the purchase of the Blynman School on Magnolia Avenue. This massive sale of thousands of items acquired by the Historical Society is a way to purge their inventory and take steps to preserve a landmark in the village of Magnolia.
Sale and Silent Auction from 9am-3pm
A sale will run all day in conjunction with a silent auction. The list of items runs the gambit including furniture, toys, china, kitchen goods, tools, toys and more!
Auction 6pm
Preview 3-6pm. An old fashioned auction will be at the Blynman School that will include things like a child's ATV, a wooden riding horse, gift certificates to local businesses and beautiful artwork by local artisans.
Appraisals 10am-Noon
Folks are encouraged to bring their vintage items, family heirlooms and mystery object for appraisal by professional antiquers David Cox and Norman Larsen. Schedule an appointment ((978)281.0309) or walk in. A nominal appraisal fee will go towards the fundraising goal for the sale and auction.
There will also be a sidewalk bazaar, Antique Cars, kids acitivities and food including a bake sale and Dolly's Famous Fish Chowder!
The Blynman School House is one of six remaining two-room schoolhouses in the United States that the Magnolia Historical Society plans to restore and make it a home to their museum and cultural center.
