Students in grades 2-6 are invited to weekly evening chess instruction by high school student Flynn at levels from beginner through advanced players on Mondays in the Children’s Room. We will plan a chess round-robin tournament in December (winners will receive trophies) to mark our chess learning at the half-year mark. The Children’s Room will provide chess boards and pieces. This program is supported by the Oliver P. Killam, Jr. Fund.
- Free and open to the public.
- Registration is required.
- No prior experience necessary, and players of all skill levels are welcome.
- Attend all the sessions or just a few.
- Former players welcome.
