Amesbury Sports Park is offering free snow tubing admission for active military personnel & employees of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Pease Air Force Base as well as $5 off each of their guests’ admissions from February 25th through March 1st, 2013.
“We realize how much these families sacrifice while their family members are serving our country, and we wanted to offer them an affordable day of fun as a token of our appreciation for all that they do. With more and more troops returning home, we thought this was the perfect time to honor them.” Says Michelle Norton, Office Manager for Amesbury Sports Park and former Army Lieutenant.
No special skills are required for snow tubing on New England’s steepest tubing hill. Guests must be at least 4 years old, and kids between the ages of 4 and 6 must ride with an adult over 18 years old on a one-to-one basis at all times. A conveyor belt lift brings riders to the top of the hill so they don’t have to hike up. The lodge offers hot food and cold beverages as well as great views of the action on the hill.
