What makes painting different from other art forms? Find out! Wear some old clothes and try painting at easels the museum will set up in Burnham Hall. Simple instructions, challenges, and materials will be provided.

Nine New England artists have taken a close look at the huge collection of vintage and antique toys and other artifacts at the museum and have been inspired to create bright, brilliant, and sometimes very funny new art! Kids and adults will be inspired to make their own art right in the gallery and climb into a life–size version of a toy that inspired the art.

In this LEGO half-day program, LEGO builders come together to design and build their own motorized remote-controlled robots, using Lego® Mindstorms. In teams of two, they incorporate physics, mechanical engineering, and programming concepts while building the fastest, strongest, smallest, and largest robots to compete in a variety of challenges. Instructor Jo-Ann Gorrell, a mother of five sons, is a mechanical engineer, founder of Engineering Action, and a Lego-maniac.
