Here in Massachusetts we are lucky enough to host some of the largest animals on earth - whales! Join us in learning more about these majestic mammals! Particitpants learn all about whale behaviors and observe their food source under our microscopes. Create your own unique whale tail design to take home! For kids ages 6-10.

Some of the most extreme weather on Earth can be credited to the ocean. From underwater earthquakes and tsunamis to hurricanes and water spouts, learn more about disasters that can strike out at sea!
Kids are invited to Cape Ann Art Haven for for a great Spring crafting experience! Paint an egg shaped buoy for Easter! All materials are included. Free for all ages. Please wear clothing that could be stained. Adult participation required this is not a drop-off event.
The Interact Club at Gloucester High School will be holding their annual pizza taste off at Cruiseport Gloucester! The Museum will be free for school-age children, 18 and under, and their guardians from Tuesday, April 16 – Friday, April 19. Explore the galleries with a scavenger hunt and family-friendly activities then head to the CAM Studio for an art project.

Seven-week-long workshops reveal the diverse traditions of art around the world. This Cape Ann summer studio is the perfect setting for your child to express and explore their creativity.
Developed by artist and educator Dawn Southworth, Annisquam Arts tips off its 30th season by offering a variety of workshops for young artists. Conducted at Dawn’s open and professional home studio on Goose Cove, we have easy access to Gloucester’s cultural center and Cape Ann’s most scenic spots. The entire program runs for seven weeks, June 24 - August 8, 2024, with new courses each week.
Young Artists’ Summer Studio Workshops run Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm for ages 6-14. We’ll have a blast engaging with a wide range of materials and artistic techniques in a multi-sensory studio environment. Small class sizes and individual instruction allow for all levels of ability to be nurtured. All classes are led by Dawn.

Vacation week free fun for families! Cape Ann Symphony, along with the Sawyer Free Library, presents Katy and the Big Snow. Enjoy the beloved story by Gloucester's own Virginia Lee Burton read aloud by local actress Heidi Dallin, and set to music for this ensemble performance. Musicians will also introduce children to the various instruments in a mini show and tell. This special show for children and families will be held at Trinity Church, 70 Middle Street. Open to all, no registration needed. Approximate 40 minute program.
