Join the Musary for a fun night of revelry while supporting a local organization that helps local kids follow their love of music! The Symphony of Trees is our premier fundraising effort, which includes live entertainment, dinner, tree auction, and red carpet arrival. Monies raised from this event will support our mission in procuring musical instruments, refurbishing well-loved donated instruments, supporting instrument playgrounds, and making the library’s collection accessible to a wider audience.
Compassionate Care ALS invites you to attend the 8th annual Ales Over ALS: A Crafter’s Delight that will be celebrated in scenic Essex at the Shipbuilding Museum where the town and museum both take full pride in all things locally crafted from farm, sea and brew kettle. All proceeds from this fundraising event will go directly to Compassionate Care ALS (CCALS), in support of people living with ALS.

2019 marks the Bicentennial of the founding of Essex and they're celebrating with a Parade downtown! The parade will step off from the corner of Southern Ave and Main St, follow Main St. to turn left onto Western Avenue, turn left onto Winthrop St., then turn right onto Martin St. The parade will end at the intersection of Martin St. and Western Avenue.
Join the fun in Essex for their 200th Birthday celebration featuring all kinds of food trucks including Indian food, The Farm Bar and Grille, Pomodori’s Pizza, Trolley Dogs, Cuesta’s Fiesta, Cod Squad, Whoopie Wagon and Mimzee’s. The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce's Businesswomen’s Committee has established this scholarship to help Cape Ann area women achieve their continuing education and career goals. Carolyn O’Connor was the first chairperson of the Businesswomen’s Committee, a community activist and a previous member of the Gloucester City Council. This scholarship honors her dedication to and involvement with the Businesswomen and the Chamber over the years. Organized in 1986, the Businesswomen’s group is committed to the growth of Cape Ann businesses and the professional development of the Chamber’s women members.
