The TOHP Burnham Public Library invites kids to join Preschool teacher and musician Ms. Katie for a fun early literacy music and movement story time for the whole family. Designed for children ages 0-8 and their adult. Learn about your child's development while you play, move, explore instruments, sing, read and have fun together!
The TOHP Burnham Public Library invites children, ages 5 and older, to join Karen Bell of "Something Extra Flowers" as she guides participants in the sweet and nostalgic tradition of creating May Day Baskets. Our baskets will actually be mini Mason jars full of fresh flowers and once finished, children & their adults will walk as a group to Chebacco Terrace to secretly drop off their "baskets" to local senior citizens by dropping them at their doorstep-just as children would have done 100 years ago!
The TOHP Burnham Public Library invites teens and tweens, grades 6-12, to reserve your place to join us for an afternoon of Mod Podge! Each participant will receive a mini wooden box to decoupage with paper/magazines/comics/newspaper...even book pages-however you like! Spaces are limited-sign up early!
Kids in Grades 4, 5 & 6 are invited to come learn about 3d printing at the library. Learn the basics of 3D modeling, create a design and print a keychain that you can take home! Register now for this special program. SPACES ARE LIMITED and sign up is required.
The Essex County Greenbelt Association and the their community partners will host a FREE Earth Day celebration at the Cox Reservation in Essex, Massachusetts! This free event will celebrate the environment, and build connections to our natural world by offering family-friendly activities. The event will also showcase local non-profit organizations that share a commitment to building an environmentally sustainable community.
See, learn, find, create! Young artists are invited to enjoy drawing, painting, print making, and sculpture using the Museum's shipyard and artifacts for inspiration. All materials are provided for projects. All ages are welcome. Those seven and younger must be accompanied by an adult. A public exhibit of the art work produced will take place at the museum. This program is supported in part by the Essex Cultural Council, a local agency, through the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
PAINT A BOWL! For the Mehaffey Farm annual Open Door Empty Bowl Circus. Join us at the library to paint bowls to be donated to the dinner and auctioned off to raise money for families in need around Cape Ann and the North Shore! This is a super fun event and supports a great cause!
Wood, hammers and nails--add a little imagination and watch what happens! The result is always fun! All ages welcome. Those 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Perfect for kids, tweens and teens. Please register via email by November 25 at 5pm.
The Open Door invites you to bowl painting session at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum! Bring the kids to come paint bowls for the annual Open Door Empty Bowl Circus in May where painted bowls will be auctioned off to the highest bidder!
