Using materials collected from nature, join us in our cozy Barn and create a variety of lovely nature crafts to give as gifts during the holiday season. Choose from a variety of natural crafts - possibilities include nature-print cards, milkweed pod ornaments, wreaths woven from vines, and more.
Join watercolorist Brenda Sloane in a monthly program that combines nature and art. We will start with a walk on the sanctuary to observe the topic of the month. We will then return to the Nature Center to create a follow-up work of art.
The Brain Balance Achievement Center of Danvers is proud to host a free workshop at the Danvers center featuring Brain Balance founder Dr. Steven Bromberg. The workshop provides drug-free solutions for families that have children suffering with social, behavior and academic difficulties such as with ADHD, Learning Differences and Autism Spectrum Disorders. This workshop is not to be missed as Dr. Bromberg will provide parents with real activities they can do at home to help their children and immediately see changes.
Boston’s third annual Inventgenuity Festival is presented by Beam Camp, a New Hampshire summer camp for the applied arts, technology and collaboration. The weekend Festival will be loaded with a tremendous range of activities led by Beam’s staff of artists, engineers and big thinkers. The Inventgenuity Festival has become a popular annual winter celebration of making things for kids ages 7-14 and their parents.
Learn about food allergies and the foods that cause them at this Children's Museum of New Hampshire and Hannaford Supermarket sponsored workshop. You'll learn about alternative foods for allergy sufferers and get some great recipes too! Registered dietician Katy Magoon from Hannaford Supermarkets will be making Bananas in Blankets, among other tasty snacks for you to try!
Girls Incorporated of the Seacoast Area and the Newburyport Public Library invite teenage girls to the E3: Exploring Entrepreneurial Experiences workshop to learn about turning ideas into businesses where they become their own boss! Attendees learn about entrepreneurship and how it can affect them economically, as well as professionally, at this hands-on workshop.
