Kestrel Education Student Work Showcase

Kestrel Education Student Work Showcase at Brown's Mall in Gloucester Massachusetts

Kestrel Educational Adventures is hosting a Student Work Showcase! This is an afternoon for sharing favorite project work that was done in connection with the natural world. We usually have work by students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, and it includes sculptures, maps, field guides, nature videos, among other projects. You are invited to come and share your creations with others.

Family Campouts: Late Summer River Camping

Camp by the riber at IRWS in this overnight camping excursion.

Explore the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary after hours and join us for a night of camping under the stars. Have an early dinner at home and then come with your family, your tent, and a dessert to share. This campout will focus on the Ipswich River. We will start the evening by setting up our tents at the top of the hill, and then head down to the river for an evening canoe trip.

Meet the Lambs Day at Green Meadows Farm

Green Meadows Farm invites families to Meet the Lambs Day!

You do not have access to view this node invites families to meet their volunteer workers at the farm - the lambs! They don't get paid for what they do, but they do lots of work at GMF. They arrived a couple weeks ago and have been dutifully eating the winter rye in the front field. Converting plant material into manure just where we need it is an invaluable job. They also happen to be terribly cute, so that helps. Come and meet them officially during Meet the Lambs Day. There will be a craft in the Farmstand and Mrs. Green will be on hand to talk about the sheepies out in the field.
