Eco Games Free-for-All: Sustaining the Sea

Is your Tuna farmed or wild and what's the difference? Find out at Joppa Flats!

We know how important it is to be "green," but how do we apply that to the way we live on the New England coast? Come to Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats for a full day of activities all about ocean creatures like whales, sea turtles and fish! We’ll learn about ocean sustainability and seashore conservation with fun, informative games like mini sporting events, quiz competitions, model building, and art projects for all ages!

Historic Holiday in Danvers

Family Honey Harvesting with Cape Ann Waldorf School

This Honey Harvesting Workshop at IRWS is by the Waldorf School, and will teach

Join Mary Mansur, Cape Ann Waldorf School Kindergarten teacher and beekeeper at Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary for a hands-on workshop to harvest honey and beeswax as we learn about the honeybee, and how humans and honeybees can support one another. Learn how the products of the beehive are utilized at Waldorf School at Moraine Farm  and how the hive and the honeybee can teach people of every age. Participants will bring home a little bear filled with honey.

The wildly popular seasonal bird show features more than a dozen different bird species from around the world, including the bald eagle, king vulture, wedge-tailed eagle, black vulture, Abdim’s stork and many others, in this engaging, memorable and educational experience for visitors of all ages.

Kids will learn all about Hula Hooping at Sawyer Free Library. Pinto Bella Hula Hoops will have a live demonstration where kids will learn the history of hula hoops, the benefits of the activity and how to do it properly! Kids will then have a chance to try for themselves, and then join iun on organized games and use teamwork to see how fun and energizing Hula Hooping can be! For kids in grades K-5!

Children will learn about the diverse habitats of our planet and the animals that live there. Ages 3 and up.

Memorial Library for a live animal presentation of animals that dig!  These animals will be presented for up-close and personal visits with the audience by this family owned business specializing in environmental and animal education. Young Adult Historical Weapons

Come to a Historical Weapons demonstration at the Manchetser Public Library

Manchester Public Library invites young adults to a Weapons demonstration by Gaurd Up! Family Swordsmanship Inc. On Manchester's  “half-day", kids will learn about sword history and techniques from medieval times through live demonstrations. Family Swordsmanship will share replicas of German long swords, Japanese swords, daggers and short swords. Participants will get to practice these sword fighting techniques against the Guard Up! staff using safe, practice swords.
