The American Girl Christmas at Smolak Farms will take place in the heated green house. Party guests will enjoy a light brunch and American Girl crafts and games including desert decorating. For desert, children will decorate and devour their own Smolak Farms American Girl treats. Admission prices includes book reading, light lunchbox, arts and crafts, and desserts to decorate! Join Joppa Flats Education Center on a nature exploration that will focus on the importance of a sense of place as we explore the ecology, sights, and sounds of our natural landscape. Wildlife, local and migrating birds, collecting techniques, and environmental awareness will be presented in a fun, energetic format that adults and children alike will enjoy.
This evening's program will focus on the northern lights, what causes them, and when and how to observe and photograph them. You will learn how to use the Internet to track their activity so that you can determine on your own when observing opportunities will arise. Do not expect to view them on the evening of the program.
