The Essex County Greenbelt Association and North Shore Nature Programs to meet some of our favorite critters! Some critters get a bad rap! But there is lots to love about the creepy, wiggly, and crawly creatures in our woods! We'll look for spiders, bugs, centipedes and millipedes, as well as signs of cool predators like owls, coyotes, and weasels. Nothing scary about this walk - just good, fun science!

Team Haverhill’s River Ruckus is an annual city-wide festival celebrating the natural resources and beauty of the Merrimack River and the economic and cultural revitalization of the City of Haverhill, MA. To join the celebration the Haverhill YMCA hosts the River Ruckus 5k. In 2022 North Shore Ys reinvested $4.3M to ensure 4,000 families and individuals in our communities had access to programming, services and resources they need through financial assistance and scholarships. In 2023 your participation in our road races will continue to allow our Y to say yes to those who need us most. Your trust in the Y inspires us to work tirelessly every day.

Join us for one of two sessions as we Return to the Renaissance on our oceanside lawn with a live musical performance, a demonstration of a Knight's battle, and some family-friendly improv by none other than Shakespeare himself!

The Annual Taché Realty Wicked Half Marathon is held in historic Salem, Massachusetts! Participants will have a 4 hour time cap to complete this course. The course will offer aid stations every 1.5-2 miles and there will be a ton of cheerful volunteers on the course. Everyone will receive a custom finisher medal that you will be a nice addition to your collection. The event attracts close to 1000 runners, including elites to beginners traveling from all over the world. We promise the scenery in Salem and Marblehead will make these miles fly by! The Taché Realty Wicked Half Marathon will be supporting the Salem Food Pantry & the Salem Children’s Charity.
