The American Textile History Museum in Lowell is having a free, educational and fun experience for adults and kids, celebrating the intersection of invention and creativity! In collaboration with our two new special exhibits, “Inventing Lowell” and “Flowers in the Factory,” on view through June 22.
The Lowell Winterfest is a two day festival held annually in February in downtown Lowell and is attended by thousands of people each year. Lowell's annual Winterfest weekend in downtown Lowell is a fun event featuring everything from a carousel and ice-skating to an all-you-can-eat chocolate festival.
As part of the Lowell Summer Music Series, a special series of kids performances takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Activities include make-and-take art at 10 a.m., a performance at 11 a.m., and National Trolley Park rides at noon.

Summer programs allow students to utilize the Museum’s resources and exhibitions for learning opportunities that complement many curriculums. Textile Arts Classes cover a variety of topics for all ages, ranging from knitting and sewing to printing and dyeing. Scout programs provide opportunities for Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts to earn numerous badges.
