Family Snowshoe (or Hike)

If it ever snows, this will be a great exploration of IRWS on snowshoes!

Have you ever wanted to try snowshoeing but didn't know where to start? Are you looking for a way to spend some time with your family outside this winter? Join us for a leisurely snowshoe hike through our sanctuary. Along the way, we will search for animal tracks and keep our eyes open for wildlife.

Farm Family Festival

Family Festival: Windrush Farm

Save the date and spend a day at Windrush Farm Family Festival. Enjoy games, pony rides, arts & crafts, live music, barnyard animal exhibits, bake sale, plant sale, tractor rides $1,000 Cash Raffle... And there's always a miniature pony wandering around the farm looking for kids to become friends with or a clown hoping to find someone to help him blow up balloon animals.

Family Festival is the annual spring open house for Windrush Farm. It is a day when the farm welcomes the community to come and witness the wonders that happen at Windrush. More than 600 people attend Windrush Farm's Family Festival and proceeds from the day’s events will benefit Windrush Farm Therapeutic Equitation, Inc (W.F.T.E.). The 200-acre horse farm is a nonprofit horse farm specializing in teaching physically, emotionally, and learning disabled children and adults to ride and work with horses. Each year, Windrush provides an array of educational services and therapeutic activities to more than 1,000 children and adults – and their families. Founded in 1964, Windrush Farm was one of the first therapeutic equitation centers in the United States.

Windrush hosts the State’s Equestrian competition for the Massachusetts Special Olympics Tournament. **Windrush Farm is wheelchair accessible. s.
