Day camp for all ages. The North Shore YMCA Summer Camps offer children positive developmental experiences that build confidence through skill-building activities suited to their age.

Campers are able to explore creativity, teamwork and leadership in a wide range of physically active programs that influence lifelong healthy living. Whatever interest your child has, there is a Y camp for them. Alice’s environment provides an engaging platform to learn about programming design by creating 3-D characters, backgrounds, and stories; Next, learn to  use the programming tiles to make those objects interact in compelling ways  that will allow you to: Build Cool Stuff, Challenge Your Mind, Seek the Answer, Have Fun, Change the World.

Minecraft Construction and Video Game Design

Check out North Shore Community College Youth Programs this summer. Be sure to register early for the very popular Minecraft and Video Gaming classes.

In the Minecraft class, kids will explore using red stone to build simple machines and build a house based on real architectural styles. Explore digital logic by learning to design and build complex mechanisms, traps, and combination locks.

Kids will start creating their own video game in the Video Gaming class! Plus, learn what career paths you can pursue that include video game play and design.

Join us for a special summer program at GUS! Our long-standing tradition of combining educational, hands-on workshops with easygoing summertime fun for children ages 4 to 14 continues. Our camp atmosphere is noncompetitive, creative, inquisitive, playful, and relaxed. We welcome children from schools all over the North Shore and beyond.

New this Year! Two new workshops for middle school students, “The Art of Leadership” and “The Art and Craft of Songwriting,” taught by Head of Glen Urquhart School Dave Provost. An all new program for children ages 4 to 5 taught by Joy Sullivan. A new afternoon option “campus kids” for children ages 4 to 8 and many new specialty workshops for all ages.
