By definition Pokemon is Anime! Teens can come find out more at the Teen Anime Club at Sawyer Free Library in Gloucester!

Sawyer Free Library offers an Anime Club  for teens.  Come watch anime shows, meet new friends, practice your anime drawing, and develop some skill in origami! For kids in Grades 6-12 only.

National Teddy Bear Picnic Day: Snacks, Stories, Activities!

Abbot Public Library invites kids to celebrate is National Teddy Bear Picnic Day! All across the country, children and their teddies will be getting together for snacks, stories, and activities, and we at the Abbot Library are no exception! Join us in the Children’s Room at 1:30 pm for this hour-long program. We’ll head out to the garden to hear books about bears, share a tasty treat, and make crafty presents for our loyal loveys. Bring your teddy & a blanket to join in on the fun!

Family Bingo and Movie Night

Come cool off with an air conditioned BINGO  and a movie at the Ipswich Library!

Come cool off at Ipswich Public Library with family and friends! Enjoy Family Movie Night at the library!  The movie begins at 6 p.m. and ends before 8 p.m., when the library closes.Children are encouraged to bring friends! Youngsters 8 and older may attend independently. Younger children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Movies are chosen to appeal to children ages 8 and up, so parents should determine if the movie is appropriate for younger children.

Museum of Science presents Science Magic

Science Magic presented by Museum of Science at Danver Public Library!

In this fun program, kids will explore how magic tricks really work. This program investigates the science behind the “magic” of several classic magic tricks. You might learn how to snatch a tablecloth without disturbing the items on top, make a balloon fireproof, and use electromagnetism to defy gravity. For the grand finale, our educator demonstrates how science can make it safe to lie down on a real bed of nails.

Historic Ice House Tours with SFL

Chill with the coolest guys in town in the heat of Summer! Enjoy a cool visit to Cape Pond Ice Company, icing Gloucester's fleet since 1848. We were featured in Sebastian Junger's account of The Perfect Storm. This tour highlights the history of the ice industry, with vintage film of natural ice harvests. See first hand 300-pound block ice being made (up to 350 tons per day), fishing vessels taking on ice and ice sculptures being carved in the historic icehouse on Gloucester's working waterfront. Wear warm clothing and shoes!  Signup with the library!

Teens and tweens are invited to come make candy sushi at the Newburyport Public Library

Newburyport Public Library invites tweens and teens to stop by the library and make “sushi” – made with rice cereal treats and different candies. Use your imagination and see what crazy combinations you can come up with! No sign-ups necessary. Create beautiful and edible candy sushi!
