The Abbot Public Library invites teens are invited to warm up at the library by making fleece hats, hand warmers, and cozy cup holders. We provide the materials, you provide the creativity. Once you're nice and toasty, make your own ice cream sundae and dream that it is summer outside. No sign-ups necessary. Winter is a great time to focus on birds. They are so visible with trees foliage removed, they are so in need of feeding, and they are going to be coming to the Manchester Library as live and paper birds this month! Please register. Our second bird program will focus on the art of Origami birds with Laura Geggis, a favorite of ours, coming back with her unique paper art instruction that works both audibly and visually for so many students.

Finish up those projects or get advice and assistance tackling new pieces based on ideas swirling around in your head.
Maritime Gloucester students will learn collograph print making with local artist Camilla MacFadyen. You will build collograph printing plates out of seaweed collected on site and print some 30 yards of blue and green silk charmeuse and organza with the patterns of the sea.

Get into the holiday season by creating your own evergreen wreath! Kids will craft their 16" wreaths by hand using local greenery, winter berries, fallen cones, holly leaves, ribbon, and more! Materials and instruction included. Parents are encouraged to attend but wreath making is for kids only please.
