MIT Open Course Ware

MIT's open courseware is free to all and Free lecture notes, exams, and videos from MIT. No registration required.

Did you know that MIT offers a huge catalog of free online courses where you can dive right in and start expanding your horizons right the comfort of your own home? They offer over 2000 courses, covering the entire MIT curriculum that ranges from Sciences & Humantities to Management & Engineering. The courses are open to anybody who wishes to try them.

Every OCW course includes a syllabus, instructional resources like lecture notes or readings, and learning tasks such as assignments or exams. Numerous courses offer video lectures, free digital textbooks, and faculty insights. While some content is designed specifically for online use, much is directly adapted from MIT's classrooms.

Into building stuff?  Take a course in Computer Programming, learn about circuits and electronics or even explore Art and Design with Arduino.  You can also build your own board game in a Game Design course, or get a head start on your robot army with Introduction to Robotics and LEGO Robotics.

Do you have a higher calling and feel a need to save the world?  You can take courses based on MIT's continuing mission to develop sustainable solutions to challenging problems through design like demining war zones, innovation for the common good, or technology and innovation in Africa.

Courses are also offered to help students become better writers.  The subjects encompass technical writing, internet writing, poetry, short stories, playwriting, essays, and many more. These courses aim to prepare students for higher education by offering writing guidance, study resources, and tips. The curriculum fosters self-confidence in sharing knowledge and developing crucial communication skills for adulthood.

OCW's easily searchable catalog makes resources available to individuals and families that can be used as a tool to  encourage children to learn science and math, develop their interest in inventing, study physical sciences, and broaden their horizons as they navigate their way through high school years.
