Sandy Hook Teacher, survivor and hero Katilin Roig-Debellis will speak at Veterans Middle School in Marblehead!

The Friends of Marblehead Public Schools (FMPS) is proudly hosting author and teacher Kaitlin Roig-Debellis at the Marblehead Veterans Middle School Performing Arts Center. Kaitlin Roig-Debellis is credited with saving the lives of fifteen first-grade students at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14th, 2012. Her inspirational talk is suitable for everyone age 10 and older.

In the weeks and months that followed, Kaitlin searched for answers and through a long and difficult process found a way to overcome her grief. Kaitlin has written a book about her journey called [amazon 0399174451 inline] - just released on October 6! The book’s sections–Purpose, Perspective, Choosing One’s Path, and Choosing Hope–chronicle a road map of growth and will provide readers with a path to conquer their own challenges.

For the past few years, Kaitlin has been traveling nationally as an inspirational speaker. Heralded as a truly gifted communicator, Kaitlin was honored as one of Glamour Magazine’s 2013 Women of the Year.
