Lights, Camera, Nature!

Kids will learn about ecology, film-making and working in teams in this workshop

Lights, Camera, Nature! is a nature filmmaking class for kids ages 9-12! We will venture into the nearby wilds with a professional naturalist and a local filmmaker. Kids will explore the wildlife and capture the action on their cameras. When finished with shooting they will work in a small team to craft a fun story, then use simple editing software to create and edit their movie.

Finished movies will then be shown on the big screen at Cape Ann Community Cinema at a public premiere event! This is an 8 week program that requires 3 hours per week, and includes use of equipment.

Instructors: Jessica Kagle and Robert Newton

Presented by Kestrel Educational Adventures and Cape Ann Community Cinema.
