A Magical Journey Through Fairytales at the Wenham Museum

Unlock Children’s Imagination with Amazing Fairytale Art, Activities and Lessons!

Take a magical journey! Follow a path to adventure through the gallery, go inside a cozy cottage or a castle with a drawbridge, or climb a giant mushroom. See captivating illustrations of fanciful worlds by Ruth Sanderson, including Mother Goose, Cinderella, Goldilocks, The Enchanted Wood, The Snow Princess, and more!Dress up as a knight, a princess, or a fairy and go on a scavenger hunt looking for clues that lead to a hidden fortune. Readers will love learning to solve word riddles, and younger visitors will find the same answers in a picture-matching game. 

Ruth Sanderson has illustrated 80 books during her 40-year career, everything from Nancy Drew mysteries to the Random House Horse Dairies series, but her favorite illustrations are fairytales from around the world. Sanderson’s art is rich with colorand her work practically glows! This exhibit will feature illustrations from eleven of her favorite books. Visit again and again to See, Play and Learn at this exhibit!
