The Explore! North Shore hiking series will get you outside and moving at some lesser explored Trustees properties across the Northeast Region, at the right time of year to see these special places shine. These beginner hikes will not be too strenuous, and will offer frequent stops for learning and taking in the beauty of our special places.
Join the Trustees for an evening journey up Holt Hill under the light of the full moon. Together, we will trek up the trail as night falls, and gather at the top beneath the moon & stars. Enjoy the sights, sounds, smells, and unique tastes of evening in the magic of Ward Reservation. We will share stories and tales about the moon and its effect on people throughout time.
Be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing, and boots or shoes that are appropriate for hiking in potentially wet, snowy and muddy spots, or over uneven terrain. We recommend you bring your own water bottle, snacks, and anything else you need to be comfortable outdoors. Flashlights will not be provided. Should you prefer to have one, please provide your own. Light levels will depend on cloud coverage. All hikes are weather permitting.
