Acera's Fall Innovator Symposium

Acera's Fall Innovator Symposium

Join us on Thursday, October 24, 6:30 to 8:30 pm for Acer's Fall Innovator Symposium.

Acera’s Innovator Symposiuma free community event open to all, is part of our efforts to break down the walls between science and the general public.

What does an ocean-going robot do? What really is the secret life of bees? What does super-resolution microscopy look like? What can we learn about the earliest stages of heart disease? How can artificial intelligence help people make personal decisions? What will healing therapies look like in the future? The experts asking – and answering – these questions are among the featured speakers at our 2019 Innovator Symposium.

Hands-on maker stations in robotics, architecture, electronic arts, woodshop, and biology!

Featured speakers/showcases (more to come!):

Acera’s annual Innovator Symposium is a free community event that showcases these scientists and inventors – and their groundbreaking work – for people of all ages to enjoy. Last year, more than 300 kids, adults, researchers, and tinkerers attended to explore the worlds of neuroscience, nanomaterials, 3D printable clothing, and wearable biometric technology. Check out scenes from last year’s Symposium.

There are no assumptions about what content is “too old” or “too young” for attendees at this unique and interactive event; children and adults alike can meet and speak with leading scientists. It’s one of the many ways Acera makes science accessible to all ages and learning styles, and makes connections to innovations happening in the real world.
