Join the The Trustees of Reservations for a look at the recently restored perennial garden, diligently transformed by volunteers at Stevens Coolidge Place. Planted over 100 years ago, the perennial garden was first established in 1907 utilizing the plan of landscape designer, Louisa Bancroft Stevens. Learn how recent restoration work incorporated the use of historical documentation with thoughtful stewardship practices. The first floor of the house will be open at 10:30AM followed by a tour of the garden beginning at 11AM. This program is offered in conjunction with Essex County's Trails and Sails program.
The American Girl Christmas at Smolak Farms will take place in the heated green house. Party guests will enjoy a light brunch and American Girl crafts and games including desert decorating. For desert, children will decorate and devour their own Smolak Farms American Girl treats. Admission prices includes book reading, light lunchbox, arts and crafts, and desserts to decorate! Smolak Farms invites children to an American Gril Tea Party under the farm's event tent! Kids can bring their favorite doll, along with parents grandparents or friends! Party goers can look forward to treats, games and craft activities to fill the afternoon with fun.
Smolak Farms has teamed up with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network this season. For a donation of $2 you will receive a bright and crisp Macintosh Apple straight from our Orchard with the symbolic purple ribbon. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Pancreatic Research Foundation.
