Park at Fort Point

This great little neighborhood park, is situated at on of the most picturesque spots in all of Gloucester.  It offers fairly new playgorund equipment, out door basketball and baenches that line a walkway that runs along the waters edge.  Sweeping views of outer Gloucester Harbor make this a great place to observe many kinds of boat traffic, Gloucester's Ten Pound Island and the mouth of the Annisquam River.

Pavilion Beach is a great family beach located directly next to this park.  It's well maintained and a great safe place to take a swim - so don't forget the beach toys!

Eagle's Nest Playground

Eagle's Nest playground is accessible to the general public only when school is not in session at Essex Elementary school.

This playground has several structures where children can climb, as well as a maze of walkways. There is a jumping area, a boat that moves back and forth, swings and slides.  There are tables for snacks and picnics, as well as a small pond nearby where children look for frogs.

Lyon's Park

Also known as Dane Street Beach. The beach overlooks Beverly Harbor and Salem’s waterfront.  Lifeguards during the summer make this a safe place to swim.  The large expanse of lawn between the street and the beach is a great place to picnic, relax or play impromptu games of soccer, softball and frisbee while enjoying the sea breeze.  The hill overlooking the harbor has picnic tables tucked among the trees, providing a secluded place to enjoy a picnic with a view.

Innocenti Park

Renovated in 2008. Innocenti Park is a community-wide resource with a lit softball field. It is located adjacent to the McPherson Youth Center, which has a skate park, street hockey rink and basketball court, in addition to a small building where visitors can play pool or relax on the couches. All of the youth center’s outdoor areas are lit, making it a popular and safe hangout for children during summer evenings.
