Harold Parker State Forest, which lies in Andover, North Andover, North Reading and Middleton, comprises just over 3,000 acres of Central Hardwood-Hemlock-White Pine type of forest. This park centrally located in the City of Gloucester's waterfront, home to the Fitz Henry Lane House and includes the Solomon Jacobs Public Landing which is directly adjacent to the US Coast Guard - Gloucester on Harbor Loop in Goucester, Ma. The park offers a beautiful hillside park overlooking Gloucester Harbor - a perfect spot for a picnic lunch!

Fitz Henry Lane House

The Fitz Henry Lane House is a historic house at 8 Harbor Loop Road, in Solomon Jacobs Park, on the harbor side of Rogers Street in Gloucester, Massachusetts. The three story stone Gothic Revival building was designed and built in 1849 by the artist Fitz Henry Lane, an American painter and printmaker of a style that would later be called Luminism, and was his home until his death in 1865.
