On the last weekend of July, artisans and fine craftsfolk from all over New England will show and sell their work on the South Village Green in Ipswich, MA. Olde Ipswich Days is a favorite for all to meet and greet old friends and new, browse the booths and do some early holiday shopping, or make some timely indulgences. The fair features the works of more than 60 artists and crafters. Look for sterling, gold, or beaded jewelry, unusual photography, woodwork, knitted textiles, dried flowers and grapevines, cut or stained glass, tapestry, a variety of pottery, and paintings in all mediums, toys, and handmade soaps, and hot dogs and refreshments.

Ignite your imagination this summer at Annisquam Arts!  Crazy Cool Collage Clip, cut, collect, compose, and collage creative constructions and assemblages made from a variety of materials. Student creations will include wall-sized drawings, sculptures with wood and found objects, as well as a combination of printmaking, photography, and magazine collage. We will look at the mixed mediums of Robert Rauschenberg, the cutting-edge pieces by the Twentieth Century’s greatest master of collage, Kurt Schwitters, and the crazy upside-down world of Julian Schnabel as we make and manipulate an artful array of free associations. Learn and train at Waring Sports Skills clinics, a 5-day training clinic aimed at creating well-rounded lacrosse and soccer players. Each day we will focus on improving fundamental skills, tactical vision, strength, speed, endurance and agility. Registration is by week and will run Monday-Friday from 9am-1:30pm. Pick one sport or come for both! We’ll start out with some getting to know you games and work into passing and skills tutorials. We’ll work on techniques, craft some plays, and end each day with a skills based competition or scrimmaging. The week will end with a small tournament, and students will come away with stronger skills and better confidence on the field. Join us! Taught By: Brad Lyman, Waring’s LAX Coach & Waring Students
