Memorial Day Events in Gloucester Massachusetts.  Cape Ann Veterans Sevices
The annual Memorial Day parade in Gloucester forms at 8:45 and begins at Monday at 9 a.m. at Gloucester High School . All veterans are encouraged to participate, joining members of AMVETS, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and the Disabled American Veterans. The parade will march down Centennial Avenue to Grant Circle where the main ceremony will be held at the WWII memorial and then return to the high school for a Vietnam memorial ceremony dollowed by a luncheon at the Veterans Center on Emerson Avenue.

PK-12 Spring Admission Sneak Peek It's never too early (or too late) to look and learn more. Come experience our community in action by touring campus and staying for our student-run outdoor concert, Woofstock. Enjoy our complimentary BBQ beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tours will take approximately 30 minutes and leave on the quarter hour. This is a great opportunity to see our campus, experience our community, and learn about our newest initiatives including the Walsh Wellness Center, the new Inspiration Commons, and Curriculum 2020. This is a very casual and fun event that will allow you to experience our dynamic community at its best. If anything, just come to enjoy our student performers and a free BBQ! Memorial Day is a big celebration in Saugus, MA. Come thank our veterans.
The Saugus Veterans Council Memorial Day Parade will start on Jackson Street at 9:00 am to Cliftondale Square along Lincoln Avenue to Central Street then onto Winter Street to the Veterans’ lot at Riverside Cemetery for graveside services including an invocation and a '21 Gun Salute'. The parade will re-form and march to Saugus Town Hall for the memorial ceremony with Grand Marshall WWII Veteran Louis DeSouza, Sr.
Memorial Day ceremonies in Beverly Farms are hosted  by the Michael J. Cadigan American Legion Post. Veterans march a 1-mile route from Private Anthony Rezza Road to West Beach, with stops at several locations to lay wreaths at memorials honoring veterans, where ancestors of veterans are active participants. The parade leaves Rezza Road at 9:30 a.m. and ends at West Beach with a tossing of wreaths into the water to honor those who died at sea.

The Danvers Memorial Day parade begins at Town Hall at 9 a.m. sharp, and will follow the traditional route of previous years - down Sylvan Street, through downtown and back to Town Hall. Stops and placement of wreaths will be at the Porter Cemetery on High Street, Lane Parkway, and the Memorial Flag Pole in Danvers Square. A reviewing stand will be at the corner of Elm and Essex streets. The Memorial Day exercise will commence at Town Hall upon parade completion. Any veterans interested in marching arrive at 8:30.

In Manchester, legion members and parade participants will assemble Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the Amaral-Bailey Post 113 for a brief seaside service. Wreaths and flowers will be dropped into the harbor in remembrance of those lost at sea. The parade then will move on to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery to salute fallen armed-forces personnel.

Start Your Memorial day with a run/walk to honor a local veteran
Start your Memorial Day weekend with a 5k, 10k, 15k or kids fun run or walk to honor the memory of a local Saugus veteran. Scott J. Procopio was on his second deployment as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, having previously served in Fallujah in 2005. He was killed in action as a result of a roadside bomb on the morning of April 2, 2006 in Ramadi Iraq. The Race will start in Saugus Center.

The Amesbury Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) hosts the Memorial Day celebration. The day’s events will begin at 7:30 a.m. at Alliance Park, where a ceremonial wreath representing lost sailors and Marines will be tossed into the Merrimack River. Post 2016 will render a rifle salute. There will then be a brief ceremony at the VFW Cemetery followed by a rifle salute. From there, another brief ceremony will be held at the Polish War Memorial on Market St. at 8:30 a.m. followed by a rifle salute.
