oston Ballet School offers Ballet Stories and Ballet Journeys for our youngest students in an age-appropriate and fun environment!
The Boston Ballet School North Shore Studio at the Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead offers Summer programs and classes for kids aged 3 and up. Classes are age appropriate and focus on the skills required to bring your child to the next level. Coed programs range from standard ballet class for 3-7 year olds to more intensive workshops for tweens and teens.

Glass Blowing Classes and Workshops North Shore Kid
Teen Vacation Workshops offered at Diablo Glass & Metal School. The Museum of Fine Arts and Diablo Glass & Metal School have collaborated to offer Teen Vacation Camps. Located just blocks from the MFA, Diablo is easily accessible by foot, car or public transportation. Diablos facilities offer glass blowing, flame working and kiln forming studios.

The Gloucester Area Astronomy Club hosts their annual 'Welcome to Astronomy' meeting at the Lanesvill Community Center! This annual event is always a crowd favorite. We’ll be featuring an even half-dozen quick, ten-minute presentations on topics of interest to anyone interested in pursuing astronomy, as well as a roomful of different scopes to inspect and ask questions about, and all the great conversation and goodies you’ve come to associate with GAAC meetings.

Kids can learn chess from a master at the Abbot Library in Marblehead!
Learn chess from a master! From learning the movement of each piece to tactics and strategy, this program will give beginners and experienced players ages seven and up a new appreciation and love of the game. Senior chess master Mikhail Perelsteyn will be teaching on Monday nights from 6-7pm.

Marblehead teens are encourage to join the Rotary's Marblehead's Got Talent Contest where they could win generous scholarships!
The Marblehead Rotary is offering local high school students an opportunity to show off their talents and a chance to win some great scholarship money! Open auditions will happen weekly at Marblehead High School Auditorium on April 4th and 11th, 2017, with with the competition held on Friday, May 12 at the Boston Yacht Club.

Explore Parker River National Wildlife Refuge and lear about the American Woodcock!
Each spring American woodcocks engage in one of nature’s most fascinating courtship displays. Here’s your chance to witness this “sky dance” up close and in-person! This program is appropriate for ages 8 and older. Meet the ranger on the deck of the visitor contact station at parking lot 1. Bring binoculars and a flashlight. Program is limited to 15 participants. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the program start time.  Preregistration required.
