Joppa Flats Education Center helps families beat the blahs and keep minds active and hands busy during school break! Head out into the wild with kids and families for great outdoor explorations this April vacation. For families with children ages 3 and up, School and Youth Education Coordinator Lisa Hutchings is taking field gear, table-top science displays, and art equipment to local wetlands. You’ll bird with binoculars, learn about temporary collecting, sketch and journal, try wildlife photography, and revel in habitat exploration. “Seining the Salt Marsh at Rough Meadows” meets Thursday, April 20, at Rowley’s Rough Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary. All materials are provided and no registration is required. Adults must accompany children. Maximum family price of $32. Mass Audubon members receive discounts.
