Calling all dads! Bring your kids to Sawyer Free Library for a Saturday morning
This is a great opportunity for dads (uncles, grandfathers, cousins or other father figures) to spend time with their kids! Come to the Sawyer Free with the kids for a storytime filled with songs, stories,snacks and fun!  Great for kids aged 2-6 (siblings are welcome). Moms and siblings welcome to attend.

Annual Community House Block Party and Twin Town Patriotic Celebration!
Come out and enjoy the company of friends and neighbors for a Two Town Patriotic Celebration!  A Bike Parade from the Hamilton-Wenham Library to Patton Park kicks off the celebration. Please gather at the Library with your decorated bike by 3:45pm. Following the parade, there's all kinds of fun:  Music – Kids Activities – Food Trucks – Fireworks at dusk. ADMISSON IS FREE!  $20 wristbands for select rides and activities are available

Each year thousands of participants join together with family members, colleagues and friends for the North Shore Cancer WALK. As a walker, volunteer or donor, you can be part of an inspirational day in the fight against cancer. The 10K (6.2 mile) WALK route is an unforgettable journey of shared purpose and commitment. It winds through historic Salem, featuring an array of entertainers that lend a festive air to this profound community event. We encourage you to become a part of this annual celebration of life, hope and courage of all those who have been touched by this disease.

Enjoy and evening concert with your family at the Stevens Coolidge Place with the Trustees of Reservations!
Come enjoy a Saturday night of music, food, drink and fun at The Stevens-Coolidge Place! Bring lawn chairs or a picnic blanket and come join us for wonderful evening with family and friends. Grab a drink from our beer and wine truck, grab food and dessert from the food trucks, explore the gardens, and play lawn games that will be set up around the grounds, but make sure you are also ready to dance!

Kids can make water telescopes at the Trustees of Reservations Crane Estate in Ipswich Massachusetts!
Water telescopes are long tubes with glass at the bottom to view things underwater. Fishermen in Norway have used them for centuries to search for herring and cod. We’ll make our own water telescopes, and then head to the beach to try them out by the tidepools. Who knows what we’ll discover!

Go on a low tide exploration at Pavilion Beach in Ipswich, Massachusetts!
Enjoy the morning at Pavilion Beach in Ipswich during low tide and discover the living wonders of the sandy coastline. We will walk across the shoreline of Little Neck, where we will search for tiny fish, hermit crabs, periwinkles, and other sea creatures living in this delicate habitat. We will preserve our memories by creating a beach collage.

Take a paddle on the Summer Solstice and explore the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary!
Explore the Ipswich River on the Summer Soltice! The longest day of the year is almost upon us, and what a fun way to start the summer! Join us for a paddle to observe nature from the river as we look for plants and animals that are equally excited for summer. This special paddle ends with s'mores around the fire and a solstice tale.

We will read by Lindsay Barrett George, take a close-up look at some beaver artifacts, and then take a walk to Rockery Pond to see a beaver lodge, dam, beaver chews, and scent mounds. Find out why beaver teeth are orange and what they use their tails for! We may even try our luck at making our own beaver lodge.

Kids will learn fish and other marsh creatures at Joppa Flats Center in Newburyport
In every kind of weather, we love to head outdoors to our spectacular local habitats, so join us for one, two, or more of these nature explorations! Each one will focus on the importance of a sense of place as we explore the ecology, sights, and sounds of our natural landscape. Wildlife, local and migrating birds, collecting techniques, and environmental awareness will be presented in a fun, energetic format that adults and children alike will enjoy. This session will be trapping (and releasing) fish and other creatures that live in the marsh.

Come explore camp as a familyat Sterling YMCA. Try archery, arts & crafts and other fun camp activities! We'll sing some favorite camp songs and play awesome games, so join the fun! Check in at the Welcome Center and join us out back in Sterling Woods!
