This year's Audubon Nature Festival features live owl demonstrations with Eyes on Owls!
Enjoy ongoing activities throughout the day at Mass Audubon's 20th Annual Audubon Nature Festival. This year's special feature will be live owl presentations by Marcia and Mark Wilson of Eyes On Owls. Come see live owls up close, learn about their natural history, and join in a hooting lesson.

Kids will explore IRWS wetland in search of painted and snapping turtles.
As late Spring becomes early Summer, it means one thing: turtle time! Join us for an afternoon of exploring our wetlands in search of these fascinating reptiles. We'll visit areas where turtles like to nest in hopes of finding some eggs, and, with a little luck, get an up-close look at a painted turtle. We'll conclude with a trip to the Rockery to see if we can summon our resident snapping turtle, Godzilla.

The American Yach Club offers youth sailing programs for kid ages 9-18 on the waters of Joppa Flats in Newburyport Massachusetts!
Ahoy mateys!  The American Yacht Club sailing school has been running for over 40 years.  Our experienced staff are sure to provide a educational fun experience for all involved.  We sail  the waters of Joppa Flats on Hunter 140's.  Our staff instructors, using a fleet of five boats, annually teach 100 plus children the joy of sailing! There is a minimum of 6 children to run a course and a maximum of 15 students per class with 8 classes offered during July and August. Our program starts at the age of 9 years old and runs right through to adults!  Course offerings include basic/intermediate instruction and advanced racing instruction for sailors looking to devevelop competitive sailing skill.

This is a great opportunity for dads (uncles, grandfathers, cousins or other father figures) to spend time with their kids! Come to the Sawyer Free with the kids for a storytime filled with songs, stories,snacks and fun!  Great for kids aged 2-6 (siblings are welcome). Moms and siblings welcome to attend.

Come to Stage Fort Park in Gloucester for the 36th Annual Waterfront Festival.
Historic Stage Fort Park along Gloucester Harbor will once again blossom into the colorful 33rd Annual Gloucester Waterfront Festival. A collection of over 175 Juried Artists and Craftsmen from throughout the U.S. will display their unique creations, live music, plus delicious ethnic foods. Celebrate 400 Years of Maritime History at Derby Wharf in Salem Massachusetts! V
Presented by the Salem Maritime National Historic Site, the annual Salem Maritime Festival in August hosts an exciting array of free family fun festivities, including live music, traditional craft demonstrations and seaport trade exhibits, story-telling, and family fun! Each year, music, demonstrations, exhibits, and children's activities are available throughout the park and on Derby Wharf. The Salem Maritime Festival is hosted by Salem Maritime, your national park in Salem in cooperation with Essex Heritage. From live music, historical re-enactors, and tall ships, to interactive programs and crafts for families, all events and activities are free and open to the public. Stay tuned to learn more about what's in store for you at the 2016 Festival!  There's also fun activities planned just for kids!
