Winter Programs at Hamilton-Wenham Library

The Hamilton Library offer a great selection of programs for North Shore Childre

Hamilton-Wenham Public Library Winter 2012 Children's Program registration begins on Tuesday, January 17 at 10 a.m. in person in the Children’s Room. Most of the classes begin the week of January 23, 2012 and continue through the second week of March.

Choose a class that best suits your child’s behavior and readiness and be mindful that all programs begin promptly at the stated time. As a courtesy to your group leader, please get to the Children’s Room EARLY, so that there will be ample time for removing coats, getting drinks, using the bathroom, etc.

  • BABY BOOKWORMS:  Fridays at 10:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. running from January 27 - March 23. PRE-REGISTER FOR ONE OF THESE SESSIONS. This 30 minute program is designed for newborns – 18 months. Join Sue Shepard for 30 minutes of stories, songs, and finger plays.  Children must be accompanied by their caregiver and alternate care for siblings is encouraged. *Pre-registration begins on Tuesday, January 17 at 10am and is required in person in the Children's Room. Space is limited.
  • MUSIC & MOVEMENT:  Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. running from January 25, to March 21. This hour long story class is presented by Lisa Davis of Cape Ann Early Intervention and is for children age 18 – 30 months. *Pre-registration begins on Tuesday, January 17 at 10am and is required in person in the Children's Room. Space is limited. Children must be accompanied by their caregiver and alternate care for siblings is encouraged.

  • TERRIFIC TWOS AND THREES: Mondays at 11:00 a.m. running from January 23 - February 13. This 30 minute story class is lead by Kate Jovin and is full of stories, songs, and finger plays.  Graduates of Baby Bookworms are welcome! *Pre-registration is appreciated. Space is limited.

  • RHYTYM & RHYME: Tuesdays 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. running from January 24 - March 20. This 45 minute story program designed for preschoolers and kindergartners is led by Xenda Laramie. Classes include stories fingerplays and a craft. Pre-registration is appreciated.

  • LEGO-MANIA for Grades 1 – 5:  4 Wednesdays: February 1, February 15, March 7, March 21, 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Create a masterpiece, share your ideas and designs, work individually or as a team. This is a non-competitive, non-robotics program, created to share the joy of Legos.*Pre-registration is appreciated.

  • WORLD OF WIZARDING for Grades 2-5: 4 Wednesdays: January 25, February 8, February 29, March 14, 3:00 - 4:00 pm. This Harry Potter themed program includes reading, crafts, and spells each week. Muggles welcome.

  • Dads & Donuts Saturdays: January 28, February 18, March 31, 11 a.m.
  • Lunar New Year Celebration: Wednesday, February 22, 1 – 3 pm
  • Seasonal Stories and Crafts: January 14, February 11, March 17, 11 a.m
